Given below are two statements. One is labelled as Assertion and the other is labelled as Reason.
Assertion: The kinetics of the reaction: \(m A+n B+p C \longrightarrow m^{\prime} X+n^{\prime} Y+p^{\prime} Z\) obeys the rate expression as \(\frac{d x}{d t}=k[A]^{m}[B]^{n}\)
Reasoning: The rate of reaction does not depend upon the concentration of C.
In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:
- If both Assertion & Reason are True & the Reason is a correct explanation of the Assertion.
- If both Assertion & Reason are True but Reason is not the correct explanation of the Assertion.
- If Assertion is True but the Reason is False.
- If both Assertion & Reason are false.
Answer
(C) If Assertion is True but the Reason is False.
