A solution of 200 mL of 1 M KOH is added to 200 mL of 1 M HCl and the mixture after attaining reaction equilibrium shows a rise in temperature by \(\Delta \mathrm{T}_{1} .\) The experiment is repeated by using 50 mL of 1 M KOH and 50 mL 1 M HCl which at equilibrium shows a rise in temperature by \(\Delta \mathrm{T}_{2} .\) Thus:
  1. \(\Delta T_{1}=\Delta T_{2}\)
  2. \(\Delta T_{1}=4 \times \Delta T_{2}\)
  3. \(\Delta T_{1}=2 \times \Delta T_{2}\)
  4. \(\Delta T_{1}>\Delta T_{2}\)

Answer

(A) T_ 1 = T_ 2
