Given below are two statements. One is labelled as Assertion and the other is labelled as Reason.

STATEMENT - 1 (Assertion): If \(x=a(1-\cos \theta) y=a(\theta+\sin \theta)\)  then \(\left(\frac{d y}{d x}\right)_{[\text {at }:=\pi / 2]}=1\)

STATEMENT - 2 (Reason): If \(x=f(t) \& y=g(t)\) then

\(\frac{d y}{d x}=\frac{d y}{d t} / \frac{d x}{d t} \& \frac{d x}{d t} \neq 0\)

In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:

  1. Both Assertion and Reason are individually true and Reason is feasible explanation of Assertion
  2. Both Assertion and Reason are individually true but Reason is not proper explanation of Assertion
  3. Assertion is true but Reason is false
  4. Assertion is false but Reason is true

Answer

(A) Both Assertion and Reason are individually true and Reason is feasible explanation of Assertion
