Given below are two statements.
Statement - 1: If a particle is projected from the ground with some velocity (not very large) at an angle with the horizontal, path of the particle is assumed parabolic, although it is not exactly parabolic.
Statement - 2: Magnitude of acceleration due to gravity at all places is assumed to be the constant, although it is not so.
In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:
- Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is True; Statement - 2 is a correct explanation for Statement - 1
- Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is True; Statement - 2 is NOT a correct explanation for Statement - 1
- Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is False
- Statement - 1 is False, Statement - 2 is True
Answer
(B) Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is True; Statement - 2 is NOT a correct explanation for Statement - 1
