Given below are two statements.
STATEMENT - 1: If the moment of inertia about an axis of a body and rotational kinetic energy is doubled, then its angular momentum increase.
STATEMENT - 2: The angular momentum of a rotating body about an axis is \(L^{2}=2 J \times K . \mathrm{E}_{\mathrm{r}}\) where \(\text { I }\): moment of inertia about an axis and K.Er: rotational kinetic energy.
In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:
- Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is True; Statement - 2 is a correct explanation for Statement - 1
- Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is True; Statement - 2 is NOT a correct explanation for Statement - 1
- Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is False
- Statement - 1 is False, Statement - 2 is True
Answer
(C) Statement - 1 is True, Statement - 2 is False
