Given below are two statements. One is labelled as Assertion and the other is labelled as Reason.
Assertion: Electron are ejected from a certain metal when either blue or violet light strikes the metal surface. However, only violet light causes electron ejection from a second metal.
Reasoning: The electrons in the first metal require less energy for ejection.
In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:
- If both Assertion & Reason are True & the Reason is a correct explanation of the Assertion
- If both Assertion & Reason are True but Reason is not the the correct explanation of the Assertion
- If Assertion is True but the Reason is False
- If both Assertion & Reason are false
Answer
(A) If both Assertion & Reason are True & the Reason is a correct explanation of the Assertion
