A straight line through the vertex P of a triangle PQR, intersects the side QR at the point S and the circum-circle of the triangle PQR at the point T. If S is not the circumcentre of the triangle, then
  1. \(\frac{1}{\mathrm{PS}}+\frac{1}{\mathrm{ST}}<\frac{2}{\sqrt{\mathrm{QS} \times \mathrm{SR}}}\)
  2. \(\frac{1}{\mathrm{PS}}+\frac{1}{\mathrm{ST}}>\frac{2}{\sqrt{\mathrm{QS} \times \mathrm{SR}}}\)
  3. \(\frac{1}{\mathrm{PS}}+\frac{1}{\mathrm{ST}}<\frac{4}{\mathrm{QR}}\)
  4. \(\frac{1}{\mathrm{PS}}+\frac{1}{\mathrm{ST}}>\frac{4}{\mathrm{QR}}\)

Answer

(B) 1 PS + 1 ST > 2 QS SR, (D) 1 PS + 1 ST > 4 QR
