Given below are two statements. One is labelled as Assertion and the other is labelled as Reason.
STATEMENT - 1 (Assertion): Equation of the polar to the sphere \(x^{2}+y^{2}+z^{2}=z\) with respect to the point \((1,2,3)\) is \(x+2 y+3 z=7\)
STATEMENT - 2 (Reason): The point \((1,2,3)\) lies outside the sphere \(x^{2}+y^{2}+z^{2}=z\).
In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:
- Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion
- Both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion
- Assertion is true and Reason is false
- Assertion is false and Reason is true
Answer
(C) Assertion is true and Reason is false
