Given below are two statements.
STATEMENT - 1 (Assertion): If A and B are two independent events such that \(P(A)=\frac{1}{2}, P(B)=\frac{1}{5}\) then \(p\left(\frac{A}{B}\right)=\frac{1}{2}\)
STATEMENT - 2 (Reason): \(P\left(\frac{A}{E}\right)=P(A)\), iff A and B are independent events.
In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:
- Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion
- Both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion
- Assertion is true and Reason is false
- Assertion is false and Reason is true
Answer
