Two waves are passing through a region in the same direction at the same time. If the equation of these waves are:
 \(\gamma_{1}=a \sin \frac{2 \pi}{\lambda}(v t-x)\)
 \(y_{2}=b \sin \frac{2 \pi}{\lambda}\left[(v t-x)+x_{0}\right]\)
then the amplitude of the resultant wave for \(x_{0}=\frac{\lambda}{2}\), is:
  1. | a – b |
  2. (a + b)
  3. zero
  4. \(\sqrt{a^{2}+b^{2}}\)

Answer
