What they do
Urban and regional planners shape the physical, social, and economic development of cities, towns, and regions. They prepare master plans, zoning regulations, transport plans, housing policies, and environmental strategies that guide where and how development occurs. They work for government bodies (development authorities, municipalities), consulting firms, international organisations, and research institutes.
