What they do
Sound engineers record, mix, process and reproduce audio for music, film, television, live events, gaming and broadcast media. They operate mixing consoles, digital audio workstations (DAWs), signal processors and microphones to shape the sonic quality of content. Sound engineers may specialise in studio recording, live sound reinforcement, post-production for film/TV, or acoustic design of buildings.
