What they do

QA (Quality Assurance) engineers plan, design and execute tests to ensure software works correctly, performs well and is secure before it reaches users. They write automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end), conduct exploratory testing, track defects and collaborate with developers to prevent regressions. Modern QA has shifted from manual checking to engineering role requiring strong programming skills.
