What they do
Commercial pilots operate passenger and cargo aircraft under a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued by the DGCA, and Airline Transport Pilots (ATP holders) command large multi-crew jets as captain. They plan flights, read weather, manage fuel and systems, communicate with ATC, and make split-second safety decisions. The career combines technical precision with responsibility for the lives of hundreds of passengers.
Education path
Class 12 with PCM, then a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) from a DGCA-approved flying school.
