What they do
A nutritionist or dietitian assesses individuals' dietary habits and health status, then designs evidence-based meal plans to manage disease, improve performance or support general wellbeing. They work in hospitals managing clinical conditions (diabetes, renal disease, oncology), in sports nutrition, corporate wellness, weight management clinics and as independent consultants. Registered Dietitians (RD) in India hold a BSc or MSc in Nutrition & Dietetics.
Education path
PCB → B.Sc Nutrition/Dietetics, then M.Sc + internship.
