Cares for patients and supports their treatment and recovery.
What they do
Nurses provide skilled patient care, administer medications, monitor clinical conditions, assist in procedures and serve as the primary point of contact between patients and the healthcare team. They work across hospitals, community health centres, ICUs, operation theatres, schools and home care settings. In India, nurses hold a GNM diploma or BSc Nursing degree and are registered with the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
