What they do

Network engineers design, deploy and maintain the physical and virtual infrastructure that connects computers, data centres, cloud environments and users. They configure routers, switches, firewalls, WAN links and software-defined networks (SDN), ensuring that data flows reliably, securely and at acceptable speed. The role underpins every digital service, from enterprise offices to hyperscale data centres.
