What they do

A Medical Lab Technician (MLT) performs diagnostic laboratory tests on blood, urine, tissue and other specimens to assist doctors in diagnosing and monitoring diseases. They operate sophisticated analytical instruments, maintain quality controls and report results accurately. They work in hospital labs, standalone diagnostic centres, blood banks and public health labs.
