What they do

Historians research, interpret and communicate the past through analysis of primary sources — documents, manuscripts, inscriptions, oral records and material evidence. They construct narratives and arguments that help societies understand how they arrived at the present, and they work in universities, archives, policy institutions, museums, media and the civil services.

Education path

Humanities → BA/MA History, then PhD.
