Geographer / GIS Specialist — Geography
Studies the Earth, places and how we map and use them.
What they do
Geographers study the Earth's physical landscapes, climate systems and human spatial patterns — and the interactions between them. They produce research and applied analysis on land use, urbanisation, environmental change, regional development and resource management. In India, geographers contribute to environmental impact assessments, city planning, climate adaptation studies, disaster management and regional development policy.
Education path
Humanities/Science → BA/B.Sc Geography, then MA/M.Sc + GIS.
