What they do

Filmmakers and directors are the primary creative vision-holders of a film or video production. They interpret the script, guide actors' performances, make visual storytelling decisions in collaboration with the DoP, and lead the entire production crew. Independent filmmakers often also write, produce, and edit their own work. A director's voice is the most defining element of a film's artistic identity.

Education path

Any stream → film school (direction/cinematography) or self-made.
