What they do
Diplomats — technically Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officers — and IR specialists represent their country in bilateral and multilateral forums, negotiate agreements, manage crises and promote national interests through peaceful means. Beyond the IFS, IR specialists work for think-tanks, UN agencies, international NGOs and academic institutions that operate at the intersection of states and global governance.
Education path
