What they do

Defence officers serve in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force in operational, technical or administrative capacities. This broad role encompasses combatant officers who lead troops or crew ships and aircraft, as well as specialist officers in engineering, medicine, law, education and logistics who sustain military capability across all three services.

Education path

Class 12 (PCM for tech/Navy/AF); NDA after 12 or CDS after graduation.
