What they do

Company Secretaries (CS) are the custodians of corporate governance and legal compliance for companies incorporated under Indian law. They advise boards on their duties and liabilities, manage SEBI and Stock Exchange filings for listed companies, handle ROC (Registrar of Companies) returns, manage shareholder records and draft shareholder meeting minutes. They act as the liaison between the board, shareholders and regulatory authorities.
