What they do

Chartered Accountants (CAs) are India's most rigorous finance and accounting professionals, licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). They conduct statutory audits, advise on taxation (direct and indirect), structure complex corporate transactions, perform due diligence and ensure financial compliance. A CA's signature is legally required for company audits, tax filings above certain thresholds and several SEBI regulatory submissions.

Education path

Commerce (ideal) after Class 10, then the CA course (Foundation → Intermediate → Final) with articleship, via ICAI.
