What they do

Ceramic engineers develop and manufacture non-metallic, inorganic materials — from traditional pottery and construction tiles to advanced technical ceramics used in semiconductors, aerospace coatings, biomedical implants and nuclear reactors. They control raw material composition, firing processes and quality to produce materials with precise thermal, electrical and mechanical properties.
