What they do
An Ayurveda doctor (BAMS graduate) diagnoses and treats patients using classical Indian medicine — herbal formulations, Panchakarma therapies, diet management and lifestyle guidance rooted in Ayurvedic principles. They work in OPDs, wellness clinics, hospitals and research centres, often bridging traditional wisdom with modern diagnostics. In India they are licensed by the respective State Ayurvedic Councils under the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).
Education path
PCB → BAMS (5.5 yrs).
