What they do

Aerospace engineers design, develop, test and oversee the production of aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, satellites and propulsion systems. They apply principles of aerodynamics, materials science, structural mechanics and avionics to make vehicles that operate reliably in extreme conditions. In India, the field spans civil aviation, defence and an expanding space sector.
