User Access Studio (Site Admin)
Provision one user precisely: allow or lock each product, scope it to boards, classes and subjects, cap usage (exams, submissions), start access windows and adjust credits.
What this page does
The User Access Studio provisions a single account exactly. Search for a user, then per product: tick it Allowed or leave it Locked (a lock is absolute — it wins over trials, seats and subject purchases), scope its content to boards, classes and subjects (chosen subjects or the full catalogue), set usage limits, grant an access window for products that need one, and adjust credits. The bar at the bottom always states in plain language what this user will end up with. Typical use: hand a tuition teacher Paper Canvas only, Mathematics on every board, with 10 paper credits — or Online Exam only, capped at 5 exams and 10 student submissions (guest link submissions count toward the cap).
- Changes write live entitlement data and apply immediately. Locking a product cuts the user off even mid-trial.
Common tasks
- Search the user by email or name and select them.
- In the Products rail, untick everything except the product they should have, then Save product access.
- Open the product and use Subject scope to pick subjects (e.g. Mathematics) — every board and class with real content is granted automatically.
- For products like Online Exam, grant an Access window so an individual account is licensed without a purchase.
- Select Online Exam in the rail.
- Under Limits, set Online exams (how many they can create) and Total attempts (how many students can submit — guest links included).
- Save limits — the caps bind immediately, even while a trial or licence is active. Empty fields mean no limit.
- Scroll to Credits and enter the change (positive to grant, negative to take back) for paper credits, AI Units or attempt credits.
- Give a reason — every adjustment lands in the billing ledger.
Controls
- Products rail
- Tick = Allowed, untick = Locked. A lock is an absolute deny that outranks every grant path.
- Subject scope
- Chosen subjects grants concrete board/class/subject combos wherever content exists; All subjects grants the whole catalogue for that product.
- Per-user caps from the product quota registry (exams, submissions, papers, exports…). They bind regardless of licence state.
- Access window
- A managed trial that licenses the product for N days for individual (non-org) accounts — the limits above still apply.
- Ledgered wallet adjustments: paper credits, AI Units, online attempts, OMR sheets, answer sheets.
