Academic years (Site Admin)
Define the academic years (e.g. 2026-27) that every organization can use for courses and filtering, and pick the current one.
What this page does
This editor defines the academic years the whole platform shares (for example 2026-27, 2027-28), each with an optional start and end date. Organizations reference these years when they create courses and when filtering. Exactly one year at a time is flagged Current — that is the default scope new courses fall into.
Common tasks
In the add row, enter a label such as 2026-27.
Optionally pick a start date and end date.
Click Add. The year is now selectable by every organization.
Click any field (label or dates) and edit it inline; blur to auto-save.
Click Set current on the year that should be the platform default. Only one year is current at a time.
Use the trash icon to delete a year — courses already assigned to it keep the reference.
Controls
Create a year from the label + optional start/end date inputs.
Mark a year as the platform-wide default. Replaces whichever year was current.
Remove a year. Courses already on it retain their stored reference.
Set the current year before each new session begins so schools default to the right one when creating courses.
