Student leave (School Admin)
Log and approve student leave requests with a full approval trail — approving marks Leave / Half-day straight into the class attendance register.
What this page does
The Student leave page records leave requests for students and tracks each one through Requested → Approved / Rejected (with Withdrawn as a possible state), keeping a full approval history. Requests are listed with the student’s name, a status badge, the leave type and dates, and a half-day flag. You define your own leave types (e.g. Sick, Casual) inline.
Approving a request writes L (Leave) or HD (Half day) into the class daily-attendance register for the leave dates, so the two stay in sync. Undo on an approved request clears those register marks again.
Common tasks
Click New request, pick the student, choose a leave type, set the from / to dates, tick Half day if it applies, and add a reason.
Add a new leave type by typing its name into the “+ New type” box and pressing Enter — it becomes available to all future requests.
On a Requested row, click Approve or Reject. Approving marks the class register; the toast confirms L / HD were written.
Filter the list with the All / Requested / Approved / Rejected pills.
Click the History (clock) icon on any request to see its approval trail — who acted, when, and any comment.
Only active students appear in the request picker. If you approve by mistake, use Undo on the approved row — it returns the request to Requested and clears the L / HD marks it wrote to the register.
