Curriculum (School Admin)
The top-level academic programmes your school runs (e.g. "KG–XII" or "NEET Academy"). Each curriculum can carry a board that drives the academic cascade, and an incharge (Principal / Head Master) with dated tenure history.
What this page does
A Curriculum is a top-level academic programme your school offers — for example KG–XII, NEET Academy or Cambridge Lower Secondary. It sits at the top of the academic hierarchy (Curriculum → Academic Year → Term, with Departments, Classes and Sections underneath) and groups the Classes that belong to it. Each curriculum can be tagged with a board from the question-bank taxonomy (CBSE, CIE, a state board…) — that board then drives which grades and subjects appear when you set up its classes.
Each row shows the programme name, its curriculum-type and board badges, its department, and how many classes sit under it. Click a row to edit it, or use Incharge to appoint the person who heads the programme.
Common tasks
Click New curriculum, enter a Name (e.g. "NEET Academy"), and optionally pick a Curriculum type and Department.
Choose a Board from the question-bank taxonomy — this drives which grades and subjects appear on the Classes under it. Not listed? Pick + Create new board…, type a name and Add.
Optionally set a Code, Short code and Description, then Create.
Click Incharge on a curriculum to assign its head (Principal / Head Master), with a start date and optional end date.
Use Download template to grab the Excel layout for preparing curricula in bulk.
Deleting a curriculum removes it. Classes linked to it keep their data but lose the curriculum grouping (and the board-driven cascade it provided).
Buttons & controls
Opens the create modal — Name, Curriculum type, Department, Board (with + Create new board…), Code, Short code and Description.
Ties the programme to a taxonomy board. The chosen board narrows the grade and subject choices for every Class created under this curriculum.
Opens the incharge panel to appoint the programme head (role derived automatically, e.g. Principal / Head Master). Reassigning closes the previous tenure with today’s date and keeps it in history.
Downloads an Excel template (Name, Curriculum Type, Department, Code, Short Code, Description) for bulk preparation.
Hover-revealed on a row. Removes the curriculum; its classes keep their data but lose the grouping.
