Question Library
Browse and search Edukali’s 1,000,000+ question bank without leaving Paper Canva — filter by board, class, subject, chapter, type and difficulty, preview a question, then add it straight to the open paper.
What this screen shows
The Question Library is a sub-nav tab inside Paper Canva that opens the whole question bank — 1,000,000+ ready questions — right beside your work, so you can find questions and drop them onto the open paper without leaving the product. A resizable taxonomy tree down the left groups questions by Board › Class › Subject › Chapter › Topic; the main pane lists matching questions as cards (or a compact list) with a live count. When your access is subject-scoped, the list is limited to the subjects you own.
When you open the library from inside a paper, it is already clamped to the scope you chose when you created that paper — the list, the filter counts, random add and the blueprint builder all obey it, including any chapters you narrowed to particular topics. So a chapter you did not tick will not appear here, even though it exists in the bank. Papers created before scope setup existed are unrestricted and show the whole bank.
Finding questions
The Board › Class › Subject › Chapter › Topic sidebar. Click a node to scope the list to it; counts on each branch shrink as your other filters narrow the set. Drag the divider to resize the tree.
A search token bar filters the list by free text across the question content — stack several terms to narrow fast.
Filter by one or more question types (MCQ, case-based, match, numerical, fill-in-the-blank, assertion–reason and more).
Filter by difficulty tier so you can pull an easy/medium/hard mix that matches your blueprint.
Expands extra toggles: Competency (competency-based questions), PYQ (previous-year questions) and a My questions owner-only filter to show just the questions you authored.
Switch between a card grid (more detail per question) and a compact list (more questions per screen).
Preview & add to paper
Each card renders the question — content, options and (where present) its solution — so you can read it in full before you use it.
The + Add action on a card drops that question straight onto the paper you have open — the fastest way to hand-pick questions while building. Select several and add them in one go.
Marking a question Out of Syllabus soft-removes it from the library globally, so it stops appearing in searches and picks for everyone. It is not deleted: moderators can restore it. Papers that already contain the question flag it with an "OOS — replace" badge when reopened.
Common tasks
Open the Question Library tab from the Paper Canva sub-nav.
Click into the Board › Class › Subject › Chapter tree, then narrow with the Type, Difficulty and More filters (Competency / PYQ / My questions) controls, or type in the search bar.
Preview a card to check the question, then + Add it to the open paper.
Repeat until the paper is complete — the list count updates as you filter.
This in-product Question Library is available to teachers and org staff (not students). As a standalone page it is superadmin-only — everyone else reaches it inside a product like Paper Canva. Questions can also be pulled in through the builder’s embedded picker and the canvas Insert → From Library buttons.
