Assessments
The unified hub for everything you have assigned — Paper, Online, OMR and Answer Sheet — filtered by type and status, with one consistent card and folder tree.
What this screen shows
The Assessments tab is a single hub for every kind of assessment you have created across Edukali’s channels — Paper, Online, OMR and Answer Sheet — not just Paper Canva papers. Each entry is a unified card showing the title, its status, the folder location (Board › Class › Subject › Chapter) and key metrics (Questions, Marks, Duration). Cards are colour-accented by type — Paper (clay), Online (sky), OMR (emerald), Answer Sheet (purple) — so you can scan a mixed list at a glance. This is where a built paper becomes tracked, scheduled work.
Type tabs
Every assessment of every type in one list.
Print/PDF papers built in Paper Canva that have been assigned.
Timed device-based Online Exams.
Offline bubble-sheet (Optical Mark Recognition) exams.
Handwritten subjective exams scanned and AI-graded.
Status filter
The status filter adapts to what is in the list — paper-only statuses and exam-only statuses appear only when relevant items exist.
No status filter applied.
Papers still being built (shown when papers exist).
Approved papers ready to assign (shown when papers exist).
Exams currently inside their open window (shown when exams exist).
Exams whose window has closed (shown when exams exist).
Exams whose results have been finalised (shown when exams exist).
Exams retired from the active list (shown when exams exist).
Other controls
A menu to create any assessment type: Paper (build & print), Online exam (schedule & monitor), OMR exam (bubble-sheet grading) or Answer sheet (handwritten + AI review) — plus a From a document option that lets AI extract questions from a PDF, image or pasted text into a new paper.
The same Board › Class › Subject › Chapter sidebar as the Papers tab — click a folder to scope the assessment list to it.
Card grid layout for the assessment list.
Compact list layout for the assessment list.
Common tasks
Use New assessment to start any type (or From a document to AI-extract from a PDF/image/text), or assign a built paper from the Papers tab.
Filter by type (Paper / Online / OMR / Answer Sheet) and status to find what you need.
Open an assessment to manage its schedule, watch submissions land, or grade.
Once graded, results flow into per-student and class analytics.
Gotchas
The status filter is context-aware: you will only see Active / Completed / Graded / Archived once at least one exam-type assessment exists, and Draft / Published once at least one paper exists. If a status pill is missing, there is simply nothing in that state yet.
