Notes

The reading experience — a curriculum folder tree, a content search, and a reader pane with inline glossary popovers, bookmarking, prev/next navigation and a jump to practice.

What this screen shows

The Notes tab is the reading experience: a Browse Notes curriculum tree (Board → Grade → Subject → Chapter → Topic) in a left sidebar, and the note for the selected topic in the reader pane on the right. A sticky header carries a content search that highlights matches in the tree. Key terms in the note are auto-linked — tap one for a glossary popover without leaving the page. A breadcrumb above the note shows where you are, and footer controls let you bookmark, walk the chapter and jump into practice.

Common tasks

Expand the Browse Notes tree to Board → Grade → Subject → Chapter → Topic, or type in Search to find topics by content.

Click a topic to load its note in the reader.

Tap any highlighted term for an inline definition; tap a related term inside the popover to dig deeper.

Use the Bookmark toggle to save the note, and Prev / Next to move through the chapter.

Click Practice this topic to open Rank Booster on that topic.

Controls on this screen

A debounced search box in the sticky header that filters the registry by note content (server-side) and expands matching tree nodes; an X clears it.

The curriculum folder tree — Board → Grade → Subject → Chapter → Topic. Folders use chevron toggles and colour-coded icons; chapters show a topic count; the active topic is highlighted.

A leaf in the tree that loads the topic’s note; search matches are highlighted, and a notes count appears when a topic has more than one note.

A coloured header above the note showing Board / Grade / Subject and the chapter name for context.

The rendered note content with KaTeX math, images and auto-linked glossary terms.

A right-side slide-over that opens when you tap an underlined term, showing its full definition and related-concept chips; popovers stack with Back/Close, and Escape closes them.

Toggles a bookmark on the current note (filled BookmarkCheck when saved).

Jumps straight to Rank Booster practice scoped to this topic.

Walk to the previous or next topic in the chapter; disabled at the chapter’s ends.

Content admins get an Edit button that opens a rich-text editor with Save / Cancel to update the note in place.

Notes are scoped to subscribed subjects. If a subject isn’t in the student’s subscription, its notes show a locked state prompting a purchase.
