Smart Notes

Curriculum study notes organised Board → Grade → Subject → Chapter → Topic, with a cross-linked concept glossary that surfaces as inline popovers wherever a term appears.

What it is

Smart Notes gives students clean, curriculum-aligned study notes in Edukali, organised by Board → Grade → Subject → Chapter → Topic, with key terms defined inline. Every important concept lives once in a cross-linked glossary and surfaces as a slide-over popover wherever it appears in the notes (and in solutions elsewhere in the app), so students never lose the thread to look something up. The glossary browser/authoring tab is content-admin only; students still get the inline glossary popovers everywhere, and can bookmark notes and jump straight from a note to practice.

Who it's for

For students (and teachers/parents who browse the notes). Notes are scoped to a student’s subscribed subjects. The standalone Glossary tab — browsing and authoring the term list — is restricted to Super Admin, Org Owner and Org Admin (content admins); the page also enforces this on direct-URL access. Inline glossary popovers inside notes remain available to everyone.

Key capabilities

- Curriculum-organised notes — a Board → Grade → Subject → Chapter → Topic folder tree, scoped to subscribed subjects. - Content search — full-text search across notes, with matches highlighted in the tree. - Inline concept popovers — tap any auto-linked term for a definition without leaving the page; popovers stack so you can follow related concepts. - Cross-linked glossary — each term defined once, reused everywhere, with related-concept links. - Math & images — KaTeX-rendered formulae and figures inside notes and definitions. - Bookmark, read-tracking and "Practice this topic" jump into Rank Booster. - Admin authoring — content admins edit notes and glossary terms in place.

Quick start

Open Notes and drill the tree to your Board → Grade → Subject.

Pick a chapter, then a topic, to read the note in the reader pane.

Tap any highlighted term to open its glossary definition in the slide-over.

Bookmark useful notes, and use Prev / Next to walk a chapter.

Hit Practice this topic to jump straight into Rank Booster on that topic.

Content admins can open the Glossary tab to add or edit terms.
