Sessions
The whole live-quiz lifecycle on one tab — build a session, run the host console, and read the post-session results and Insights dashboard.
What this screen shows
The Sessions tab has two sub-tabs — Sessions (your quizzes) and Insights (cross-session analytics). The list filters by All / On air / Drafts / Completed (the On-air chip pulses while a session is live); each card shows the question count, seconds-per-question, players, an answer-mode badge (Cards / Mixed) and how recently it ran, and its action changes with status: Open lobby for drafts, Continue lobby for lobbies (with the join code on the card), Host console for live sessions, Results for finished ones. This single tab covers build → host → review.
List & the create page
Opens the full-page builder at /app/live-quiz/create — name the quiz, pick questions, choose how it plays, create. (The old pop-up wizard is gone.)

Creates a draft and drops you into the host console — you open the lobby when the class is ready. Created from a course? The quiz is also added to the course and you return there.
The Host console
The host console runs the room. It moves through phases — Draft → Lobby → Active (per question) → Ended — and the available buttons change with the phase.
Draft → Lobby; generates the join code and QR.
Large, selectable 6-character code students type to join.
Copies the full join URL to your clipboard.
Scannable code that opens the join screen.
Answer cards (card modes)
In card/mixed sessions the lobby gains an Answer cards panel: scan its QR with your signed-in phone to open the card scanner, and Download card deck (PDF). Card-only sessions hide the join code entirely.
While a question runs, a Card scanner link sits next to the answered counter — the phone scanner also carries remote Start / Close / Reveal / Board / Next / Finish controls.
Live list of joined players; hover a badge to remove (kick) a player.
Lobby → Active; opens the first question.
Question / Players / Pace
Switch the host display between the question (with live answer counts), the player list, and pace stats.
Stop accepting answers before the timer ends.
Show the correct option and the answer distribution.
Show the live ranking between questions (when enabled).
Next question / Finish quiz
Advance to the next question, or end the session on the last one.
Terminate the whole session immediately.
After the game, jump to the results page.
