Question Paper
A universal, board-driven mock-paper builder — pick chapters by source, set a question-type marks blueprint against a target, and generate an original paper in that board’s own pattern, routable onward.
What this screen does
The Question Paper generator builds an original mock paper in any board’s own structure and marking system. Everything board-specific is data, so the same surface works for any Board / Class / Subject. You set the foundation, choose chapters (grouped by their source), design a question distribution against a marks target, and generate — the output is a set of structured questions you can send anywhere, exactly like any question-producing tool.
1 · Paper Foundation
A required cascade — the board loads its chapters and its own question-paper pattern. All three are needed before the rest of the builder appears.
Preset chips 20 / 40 / 50 / 80 / 100, or type a custom total. This is the target the distribution validates against.
Multi-select — a paper can span Easy / Medium / Hard at once.
Choose the provider+model that generates the paper (remembered per surface).
2 · Chapters (grouped by source)
Chapters are scoped to your selected Board + Class + Subject and grouped by source, so the same chapter under two books stays distinct. Each group has a Select all / Deselect all toggle, and each selected chapter gets a count stepper so you can weight the paper toward the chapters you’ve taught. An availability number shows how many questions exist for a chapter.

3 · Question distribution
The distribution table is seeded from the board’s official question-paper pattern — one row per question type with its default marks. Tune marks per question and the count per type, and a live badge tracks current marks / target and total question count, warning you exactly how many marks to add or remove. Need a type the board pattern doesn’t list? Add any other question type with the inline field.
Editable marks per question for each type (subtotal recalculates live).
A +/− stepper for how many questions of that type.
A live “current / target marks · N Q” badge — green when it matches, amber with an exact adjustment hint when it doesn’t.
Append a custom row for a type not in the board pattern.
When the board publishes a format, a green panel names it with a link to the official source — e.g. CBSE competency 50/20/30, or CIE’s ascending-marks structure and M1/A1/B1 marking.
Generate & route
Hit Create paper and the AI follows your exact blueprint. The result renders as a reviewable list of structured questions with the shared Send to… router — Question Bank · Paper Canva · Online Exam · OMR · Offline (Answer Sheet) — plus Save to My Resources. Routing behaves exactly as documented in All Tools.
A generation is capped at 80 questions. For a bigger paper, generate in batches and send each batch onward (they append to the same open paper in Paper Canva).
