Paper Canva — Export tab
Print/PDF, preview, share, assign, LMS export, Word export and convert to online/offline exam.
What the Export tab does
The Export tab is where a finished paper leaves the canvas: print or save as PDF, preview pages, share a link, assign it to students, export to an LMS or Word, and convert it into an online or offline (OMR) exam.
The Export ribbon
Print group
Opens print options to print the paper or save it as a PDF. Includes Student Copy, Teacher Copy and Answer Key variants.
Toggles the print preview panel. Each thumbnail is a live miniature of the real rendered page — cloned straight from the canvas and scaled down, so it shows the true pagination, not an approximation, and refreshes when the paper or view mode changes. A separate draggable zoom toolbar floats over the canvas (drag it anywhere; it auto-shifts left so it never covers the panel). Shown only when the preview action is available.
Share group
Generates a shareable link to the paper with view-only or edit permissions for other teachers. Shown only when the share action is available.
Assigns the paper as practice to students, sections or entire classes. Shown only when the assign action is available.
Exports the paper in LMS-compatible formats (Moodle XML, QTI) for direct import into a Learning Management System. Shown only when the LMS-export action is available.
Document group
Exports the paper as a Microsoft Word (.docx) document for offline editing and distribution. Routes through the same print pipeline as Print / PDF.
Convert to Exam group
Converts the paper into an Online Exam, preserving all sections and questions with their structure. Shown only when the convert-to-online action is available.
Converts the paper into an Offline / OMR Exam, preserving all sections and questions. Shown only when the convert-to-offline action is available.
Common tasks
Click Preview to confirm pagination.
Click Print / PDF and choose Student Copy, then repeat for the Answer Key.
Save as PDF from the browser print dialog if you need a digital file.
Click Online Exam (or Offline Exam for OMR) to convert — sections and questions carry over.
Or click Assign to push the paper directly to students/classes as practice.
Several Export buttons (Preview, Share, Assign, LMS Export, Online/Offline Exam) only appear when the host page wires up their handler — if a button is missing it isn't enabled in your context, not broken.
