Paper Canva — Design tab
Branding, full layout settings, watermark, question numbering, option labels and marks position/format.
What the Design tab does
The Design tab governs the look and notation of the paper: institutional branding, the full layout settings modal, a diagonal watermark, how questions are numbered, how MCQ options are labelled, and where/how per-question marks are shown.
The Design ribbon
Themes group
Opens the Branding modal to configure your institution's logo, name, address and other header identity fields shown at the top of the paper.
Opens the full Layout settings modal — page size, margins, typography, footer and display options all in one detailed dialog (the superset of the ribbon spinners).
Watermark group
A text input for a diagonal watermark printed faintly across every page (e.g. DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, SAMPLE). Leave it empty for no watermark. Placeholder: "e.g. DRAFT".
Numbering group
A 4-way segmented control for the question numbering format: 1, 2, 3 (numeric, default), Q1, Q2 (Qnumeric), I, II, III (roman), A, B, C (alpha). The active format is highlighted.
Options group
A 4-way segmented control for MCQ option labels: (a)(b)(c) (lowercase, default), (A)(B)(C) (uppercase), (i)(ii)(iii) (roman), (1)(2)(3) (numeric).
Marks Display group
A 3-way segmented control for where marks appear: Right (floated right of the first line, default), Below (below the question number), Last Line (after the last line of question text).
A 4-way segmented control for the marks notation: [2] (bracket, default), (2) (parenthesis), 2M (suffixm), 2 marks (suffixmarks).
Marks only render when the Marks field is enabled on the Header tab. If marks aren't showing, check header.marks first.
