Growth Feedback on Student Work
Turn a piece of student work into specific, encouraging, growth-oriented feedback.
What Growth Feedback on Student Work does
Feedback that says “good try” helps no one, and writing something better forty times over is exhausting. Paste in a piece of student work and this tool drafts specific, warm, growth-oriented feedback — what the student did well, exactly where to improve, and an encouraging next step. It’s especially good for the answers where a child clearly tried to reason something out and you want to honour the attempt while fixing the idea.
Every input, explained

How to use it
Open Growth Feedback on Student Work under Student support in All Tools.
Paste the student’s actual answer into The student work first — the feedback is only as specific as the work you give it. Type or dictate it, or upload a photo/file of the response.
Optionally set a Feedback focus (e.g. “showing working”, “structure of the answer”), then Generate and lightly personalise before sharing.
Not sure what to type? Click **Show example** in the form header — it fills every field with a real worked example and shows a pre-generated result without spending any AI credits. Undo restores your draft.
The runner also gives you a ✨ prompt assistant and voice input on text fields, file upload to pull in your own notes, and — where your board publishes one — an official-format proof panel.
Your document & what to do with it
The result renders as a clean A4 document you can read on screen. From the output header you can Copy it, **Export** it as a branded PDF, Word, HTML or Markdown file, or send it into an LMS course as a page activity with **Add to Course**. One click on **Save to My Resources** keeps the result in your library for later.
Use Feedback focus to keep the response on one thing at a time — a student improves faster from “show your working” than from a paragraph covering six issues at once.
