Activity — Smart Notes

Attach curriculum study notes with an inline concept glossary to a topic.

What it is

A Smart Notes activity attaches a curriculum study-notes topic — with its inline concept glossary — from the Smart Notes product. Use it to give students reading aligned to the chapter/topic they are studying.

How to add it

In Course content, click Add activity in a topic.

Choose a notes topic from the picker (configMode: instance). The notes tree — Board → Grade → Subject → Chapter → Topic — is flattened to its topic leaves, each showing its path and note count.

What students see

Students navigate to that notes topic in the app (openMode: navigate → /notes-glossary/topic/:id) and read the notes with the concept glossary inline.

Opened from a course, the notes now read right on the course page — embedded inline (with a fullscreen toggle) or in a clean full-page view without the rest of the app around it — and course completion is recorded automatically.

Completion

Not graded. Completion tracking is a per-activity setting — the default here is manual (the student marks it done), and you can also turn tracking off in the activity settings. Whichever you pick feeds the course progress bar.
