Activity — H5P interactive
Create or upload interactive H5P content (interactive video, quizzes, games); attempts are tracked and graded automatically.
What it is
H5P is the open standard for interactive learning content — interactive videos, question sets, drag-and-drop, flashcards, branching scenarios and 50+ more types. You can create content in the built-in editor (with the H5P content-type hub), upload a .h5p file made elsewhere (Lumi desktop, h5p.org, Moodle), or reuse content already in your organization’s library.
How to add it
- In Course content, click Add activity in a topic.
- Pick H5P interactive.
- Choose the source: Pick existing (your org’s library), Upload .h5p, or Create new — the embedded H5P editor opens with the content-type hub.
- Pick a grading method (highest / average / first / last attempt).
- Click Add to course.
Teachers can install content types the H5P hub marks Recommended on their own. Other or custom library packages are installed by the platform admin — if an upload reports a missing library, ask your admin.
What students see
Students play the content inline (openMode: viewer). Every completed run is stored as an attempt with score, duration and per-question answers; students see their own attempt history under the player.
Grading & attempts
H5P is gradable with automatic completion. The grading method decides which attempt counts (highest, average, first or last); the resulting score flows to the gradebook via completion. Teachers get an Attempts report on the activity — per student, per attempt, with a per-question drill-down.
