Activity — Google Meet

Run a live video class over Google Meet, launched as a course activity.

What it is

A Google Meet activity runs a live video class over Google Meet, surfaced as an activity inside your course so students join from the same place they find their other work.

Before you start

Google Meet uses real Google APIs and needs integration credentials under Settings → Integrations, resolved in the server → reseller → tenant key cascade. Configure them before scheduling sessions.

How to add it

In Course content, click Add activity in a topic.

Title the session and set its options in the video-conference form (configMode: videoconf) — an optional Session length in minutes and a Recording toggle.

What students see

Students open the activity inside the course (openMode: viewer) and join the Meet when it is live.

Completion

Not graded. Completion tracking is a per-activity setting — the default here is manual (the student marks it done), and you can also turn tracking off in the activity settings. Whichever you pick feeds the course progress bar.
