Your handout, now something they can do.

Overview

Give it a chapter PDF, a slide deck, a recorded lecture, a photographed page or a YouTube link. It reads the material, finds the concepts and the diagrams, and builds up to 34 kinds of interactive activity — quizzes, flashcards, interactive books, timelines, picture questions, memory games, crosswords, glossaries, interactive video. You review each one, then drop it into a course as a graded activity. Text, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, EPUB, audio, video, a photographed or scanned page, a web page or a YouTube link — even several files at once, or a chapter straight from the notes library. The input is material you already have. Nothing to re-type, no template to fill in first.

Tick several activity types and they generate together from the same reading of the material. The same chapter becomes a quiz, a glossary and a crossword in one run — consistent, because they come from one pass. Every draft opens in the real H5P editor. Fix a question, swap a diagram for a better one, or regenerate a single activity and leave the rest untouched.

Figures are pulled out of your source document and captioned. Where a source has none, it can generate one — and you can always replace it from your media library. 34 activity types — quiz, flashcards, dialog cards, drag the words, fill in the blanks, sort the steps, memory game, picture questions, spoken answers, open questions and more

Sources: pasted text, a topic, PDF / Word / PowerPoint / EPUB, photos of pages and scanned PDFs, audio, video, web page, YouTube — several files at once, or a chapter from the notes library

H5P is the open standard for interactive learning content — the quizzes, flip cards and interactive videos learners click through. It works in your courses here, and exports to SCORM for other systems. You never have to build H5P by hand: the Studio writes it for you.

Lesson Studio is where you author a lesson yourself, from scratch. H5P Smart Studio goes the other way — you bring material you already have, and it turns that into interactive activities. Most teachers use both.

No — H5P Smart Studio is a standalone app with its own seat. It is also included in the Edukali One teacher plans, which bundle every teaching app at one price.

A per-teacher monthly seat that includes an AI-Unit allotment. Generating activities draws on those units; reviewing, editing and reusing what you have already made is free.

Yes, and you should. Every draft opens in the standard H5P editor, so you can rewrite questions, adjust answers and replace images. You can also regenerate one activity on its own without disturbing the others.

Yes. Pick the output language and it generates in any of 16, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi and Urdu — or let it auto-detect from your source.

Start from what you already teach

Paste chapter text, name a topic, pick a chapter from the notes library, or upload the real thing — PDF, Word, PowerPoint, EPUB, spreadsheets, even photographs of textbook pages, which are read with built-in OCR. A YouTube link works from its captions, a webpage from its text, and a recording of your own lesson is transcribed before anything is built. Seven source lanes in all, and up to five files in one run, so a chapter that arrived as three separate handouts still builds as one coherent set. There is nothing to re-type and no template to fill in before you start.

It reads the material before it builds

One pass pulls out the concepts, the key terms and the figures — including diagrams buried inside your PDF, Word file, slides or EPUB, which are extracted and then captioned by vision so the system knows what each one actually shows. Every activity type you tick then generates from that same single reading, which is why the quiz, the glossary and the crossword agree with each other instead of describing three slightly different versions of the chapter. Where a source has no usable figure at all, one can be generated — or you can swap in your own diagram in a click.

From glossary to interactive video

Thirteen course-material formats a class reads and revises from — lesson, presentation, interactive book, glossary, timeline, Cornell notes and more — plus fifteen scored interactive activities including quizzes, flashcards, drag the words, sort the steps and open questions. Picture-based games such as memory, picture questions and guess the answer build from your own document’s images rather than stock art. Interactive video places questions on a YouTube clip at the moments they belong. When a run is finished, compile the drafts into a single interactive book instantly, with no further generation and no units spent assembling what you already made.

Nothing reaches students unreviewed

Every draft opens in the real H5P editor, not a cut-down form that only exposes the three fields the vendor thought you would need. Preview it exactly as a student would see it, rewrite a question that landed awkwardly, swap a diagram for a better one in a click, or regenerate a single activity and leave everything else untouched — which matters when nine of ten activities are right and the tenth is not. Edits save in place and the rest of your run stays exactly where you left it. Nothing goes near a course until you have looked at it.

Everything is kept, shared and graded

Generated activities land in your school’s own H5P library rather than in one teacher’s downloads folder — an org-wide folder tree with drag-and-drop filing, rename and move, search and preview, so next year’s teacher can find what this year’s teacher built. Add any activity to a course topic as a graded item and the scores flow into the weighted gradebook alongside exams and assignments. Or share a public link that anyone can play without signing in, which is how a revision activity reaches a parents’ group or a student who has forgotten their password the night before a test.

Course activities without an authoring team

Teachers hand in the material they already use — chapter PDFs, slide decks, recorded classes — and get graded course activities back the same period. Everything lands in the shared H5P library, so an activity built for one section serves every section.

Revision drills from your own notes

Turn each batch’s notes into quizzes, crosswords, flashcards and memory games in one run, all built from the same reading of the material. Share a link on the batch WhatsApp group — students play without signing in, nothing to install.

The handout becomes homework they finish

A photographed textbook page or a YouTube link is enough. Build a quiz and a drag-the-words from it, review both in the editor, and post the link — or drop them into your course and let the gradebook collect the scores.
